That’s right, in yet another sporting contest in which the Kiwis have put one over their trans-Tasman cousins, Christchurch Harley-Davidson dealer Rolling Thunder has won the Australasian Judgement Day ‘build-off’ competition.
The competition was created to promote Harley-Davidson’s new Forty-Eight model, with dealers across Australia and New Zealand given bikes to customise and Harley-Davidson owners and fans invited to vote for their favourite on-line.
Rolling Thunder’s entry ‘The Bomber’ took the top prize of Best Overall with Harley-Davidson of Blacktown winning Best Original Concept for their bike named ‘Year 48,’ and the Best Low Budget prize going to another Australian shop entry, Harley Heaven Ringwood’s ‘The Rodster.’
